Right, I gotta go to bed, work tomorrow. ;o( Oh joy and I've been told that it's just me and the duty manager (who is some tall snotty nosed 19 year old guy who although I try really hard to get on with, can be the most disorganised pain in the arse possible - yeah we clash big time!) till about 11am!  whoo hoo... so between us we have papers to stuff, bake off to bake, deliveries to haul in... AND not only that, some mad fuckers are going around with hammers doing over corner shops at 6.30am (because they've failed to break in and steal stuff when there is no one in store - including our store the other week!  They set off the fog sensors - can't see a thing so are forced out) - GREAT!  I REALLY want to go into work tomorrow not.  Shit...

So if I don't post tomorrow afternoon... you know I got hit by a hammer - ouch!  - actually I shouldn't joke about it.  Not funny.

But hey, I did get chapter 9 partly written :D  Oh and I enjoyed it :D ...teeny, tiny bit of Face Whumping

Guh!

Though I am on hold with tech support at this moment. I'm trying to see why on earth they can't run a temp line from the box in the neighbor's backyard. See? It's right friggin there!

And in talking with the hubby last night, he seems to recall that the last line came from there. (something about having to bury a cable that they forgot to come back and do)

Oy...tech guy couldn't reach regional supervisor so he was unable to confirm where the line is supposed to be coming from. Therefore, he couldn't get a tech sent back out. *headdesk* I think I forsee another phone call in my future...

On the good side, he did give me a credit. For the time I'm missing service. Which is from Friday the 11th to Thursday the 24th. Yes. The twenty-friggin-fourth. Which is the date I'm scheduled to have the line replaced.

Aka; another whole damn week.

I know I shouldn't be so worked up over something like internet, but damn. It is primarily my line to the rest of the world. I don't have cable TV, I can't get reception for 'free regular tv', I might catch some tidbit of news over the radio, otherwise, I'm cut off.

People can survive without the internet right? I mean, my mom does just fine without it. Then again...she also has satellite TV with gonzo mula stations. And just because 99.9% of all my communication is done via a network cable, doesn't mean I should being going nutso right? I *suppose* I could actually call people instead of instant messaging them.

But then I wouldn't be able carry on multiple conversations with people from Canada, California and Australia. *waves at you guys* :D

Hrm. Maybe I can try to fry myself run the line myself?

Duke has been testing its new 'outdoor warning system' all morning. Warning for what, I have no clue. Anyway, I've been hearing sirens all day. It's worse if you go anywhere near a window. (meaning all the folks with offices are hating life today ;)

Right as the ended the first half of their testing, I heard something amusing. The tonal notes from 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind'. Somebody's got a sense of humor, at least. *g*

Dark Knight was awesome though. I had a sketch page of squee.

Yesterday Troi (Counsellor) lost her 'empathic ability' and the crew tried to pretend that must make a HUGE DIFFERENCE to her every day life, and Riker was all MANLY CHEST and Troi was all CRYING NOW and and and he kissed her hair and was BEAUTIFUL and I love when he kisses her hair, I love it possibly more than EVERYTHING ELSE HE DOES, possibly not more than the posing next to Data with his leg up on the console OH GOD, but even more than when he hugs his nipples or when he points at people. I love het pairings I love that they are allowed to HUG. Then! Then Troi was all 'I am really scared' and Riker was all *psychopath*. He was just so instantly and clearly turned on by the idea of her being scared, he did psychotic eyes, and when he was meant to be telling her that he LOVED her starfleet^* side as much as her supposed betazoid side he actually just went 'I REALLY LIKE YOU VULNERABLE, YOU'VE ALWAYS BEEN A BIT CONFIDENT FOR MY LIKING, THIS IS GREAT, BE WEAK FOR ME SOME MORE' and then it was scary and then I decided to love Riker any way because HE KISSED HER HAIR. His own hair is less great than it used to be, which is sad but I imagine that Picard doesn't really notice or judge. And his love for having sex with Data is still strong. Also Worf. And apparently Geordi although we don't get to see that because Geordi is NOT IMPORTANT. When Deanna resigned Picard rubbed his hands over his head in possibly the nicest way I have ever seen in my entire life and was lovely to her. He is Quite Great, after all. He's not borg any more. So over that.

Ages ago Data had the best boyfriend he could possibly have for an episode, I might have already said so, I can't look, but mostly I miss him now every episode, I miss his love for Data which was all Data really needed in the WHOLE WORLD. He kept going 'It's probably okay not to have human emotions, Data' and Data just couldn't get past the fact that NO ONE ELSE HE HAD EVER MET IN HIS LIFE had suggested that to him. I can't remember his name. He came on the ship to show Deanna how real empaths empath and then he clung to Data because he couldn't sense him. He looked at Data's painting before it was finished. And then they went and lived together on a gloopy living ship, but Data couldn't quite cope with the freedom of not being CONSTANTLY JUDGED LACKING so he came back to starfleet. Oh Picard could do a lot better by him. Yesterday while Troi was having a collapse Data decided to stop reporting things to the nearest second and just round up/down to the nearest minute. I love him a lot. Despite his hair. Hair is not doing well in season 4.

In the episode before Troi's collapse Picard and Wesley had cave!sex galore but they did not have sandwiches. And they did not STAY WITH THEIR VEHICLE for more than TWO MINUTES. In case the rule is NOT CLEAR you have to stay with your vehicle UNTIL YOU DIE. Probably in Starfleet they find life signs before they find vehicles and the whole rule is void. Starfleet is not like real life, they should have had a warning. Also if you're in the desert you can make a thing with two layers of cloth and a pebble in the middle and over night you get condensation and Wesley didn't do that, he spent ages breaking through a weird forcefield thing instead and nearly let Picard DIE. I think starfleet should pay more attention to Ray Mears' desert episodes. That's what I think.

Gloopy isn't in my dictionary. And my books, while very good, are CONFUSING ME in ways I won't bore you with.

^* Early in season 1 Deanna explained to us that she was half betazoid, half starfleet. WE ARE NOT SURE WHAT SHE IS TALKING ABOUT BUT ARE ACCEPTING IT BLINDLY.

OMG - you know when you've got this scene in your head and you've gotta write it down - well I've totally neglected the kids and written it down :D  It's a long way off in the A Beautiful Lie Series... but I liked it so much I just had to get it onto paper, well, pc! 

Right... back to the kids!

The big draw for me is Christian Bale.
He's been a celeb crush since I was in middle school and obsessed with Newsies.
The fact that he is now BATMAN is beyond words cool to me.
Like a little girl's geek dream come true. ^___^

Thought I'd post now before I look at the clock and find it's gone 11pm!!!!

I've been bashing away at chapter 8 and I've sent that over to my Beta's - apparently we're getting paid :D  - that's a joke - my disclaimer does read:  "I don't own the A-Team and I've not made a penny from this - I just do it for the Jazz!" - and rightly so!

Chapter 4 is on ff.net and the ATSB - for my FANS - lol!  But I do have a couple of Face/Amy fans, which makes me feel quite mushy inside :D  I certainly didn't think they'd be that many out there, but there is a few :D  opps just realised gotta put it on here too!  I knew there was somewhere else!  Shit, I'll do that next.  (I'll put on my website later - I do a couple of chapters at a time at the moment) - once the story is complete then I'll send over to the Archive... to have it found on lousyfic :D

Anyway word count is (it does include some notes - if only Word would count in colour code or something ???): 12,826 words

His daughter is collecting teddy bears to donate to the South Pasadena Fire and Police Departments, which are then given to comfort children after traumatic experiences, such as home fires or domestic disturbance calls.

He's looking for people to bring New Teddy bears to his both at the San Diego con. So if you are going bring a bear.

he's the creator of Usagi Yojimbo btw and I'd suggest going to his booth anyway as he's a really wonderful guy and amazing artist, but now, you can go and help out a worthy cause too.

So now what do I do? After tea that is.  I got Pride And Prejudice DVDs out of The Mail last weekend... Colin Firth I want to see Colin Firth - period dramas aren't usually my thing.  All because, Helen Fielding (on the Bridget Jones' Diary dvd) says that Mark Darcy was based on Mr Darcy in P&P played by Colin Firth... and she was so happy when Colin agreed to play Mark Darcy.  - so I kinda want to see it.

Colin Firth IS the reason I want to see Mamma Mia! :D

I'm into my writing... the dvds will always be there ;o) I should watch Range Rider too... need some stuff from that episode :D  My document word count is over 12,000 words - admittedly there is some notes in there (which I will turn into a story and not just post as per lousyfic discussion :D
